Registration & Membership Requirements
Oakworth Juniors Football Club operates as an FA qualifying club and is established and conducted in good faith. The club offers membership to individuals of all ages, including junior players, adult participants, volunteers, coaches, and supporters. To maintain qualifying club status, the following registration and membership conditions apply.
1. Membership Application and Waiting Period
All memberships must be applied for formally via www.oakworthjuniors.com:
by a parent or legal guardian where the member is under 18 years of age; or
by the individual themselves where the member is 18 years of age or over.
No individual shall be granted membership, treated as a member, or given any membership privileges until a minimum period of two clear days has elapsed between:
submission of the membership application or nomination, and
approval and admission to membership.
Where membership is granted without formal nomination or application, the individual shall not be entitled to any membership privileges until at least two clear days have elapsed from the date they became a member.
2. Membership Eligibility
Membership is subject to:
completion of all required registration information appropriate to the member’s age and role,
acceptance of the club’s rules, codes of conduct, and safeguarding policies, and
compliance with FA, league, and regulatory requirements where applicable.
Junior members may only participate in footballing activities once:
parental or guardian consent has been received, and
relevant FA and league registrations are complete.
The club reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or revoke membership where information is incomplete, inaccurate, or where club rules are breached including non-payment of membership fees (subs)
3. Conduct and Good Faith Operation
The club is run on a not-for-profit basis, solely for the benefit of its members and the promotion of football, community participation, and player welfare.
All activities of the club shall be carried out in good faith and in accordance with:
applicable legislation,
safeguarding standards, and
local authority requirements.
4. Alcohol (Where Applicable)
Where alcohol is supplied at club premises or events:
Alcohol shall only be supplied to members and on behalf of or by the club.
Alcohol may only be purchased and supplied by:
members aged 18 or over,
who have been elected or authorised to do so by the club or its committee.
No person shall receive, at the expense of the club, any:
commission,
percentage, or
similar financial benefit
in relation to the purchase or supply of alcohol.
No arrangements shall exist whereby any individual derives a personal financial benefit from the supply of alcohol, other than:
benefit to the club itself, or
indirect benefit arising from the lawful operation of the club.
5. Governance and Oversight
The club shall be controlled by its members through an elected committee.
Any activities involving regulated matters shall be conducted under the oversight of the committee and in accordance with relevant legislation and guidance.
